When should I start demanding applications in terms of resources, or when I install software and I have to ensure that interference will not occur terns, I have to close (and sometimes end) by hand most of the active processes.

SmartClose is a free software downloadable from this address and compatible with all versions of Windows, whose aim is to finish as many processes as possible (leaving the system stable) in order to recover resources.

The program must be installed. After performing this operation, we can start using the new created shortcut on the desktop. Featuring a simple graphical interface and spartan, looks like this:

Through the first words, Create a system snapshot and close all programs can access the core functionality of SmartClose. All processes are terminated is not essential to the operation of the system, yet create a file which then you can restore the state before.

We will be greeted by a short introduction that explains what we will do the program. We can safely tick the Do not show this introduction page again so that when we repeat the operation, you can get straight to the point.

The process continues, and we will be asked what, exactly, we want to do.

I recommend you leave everything checked. If however you pause the cursor over an item in the right pane you will get a brief description.

We continue with the Next button . In the next window you can see which processes are finished because they are considered essential.

Using the Add button we can add you can add processes that must be completed even if not essential to the stability of the system.

Then choose where to save the snapshot files, the file that will allow us to restore the current state after completing all processes. With the first option, we will save the file in a default folder of the program, with the latest we can customize the save path.

Pressing Next we will be faced with a summary of what to do.

If we are sure to continue, click on the Start button .

Will begin the closure of all non-essential processes ... wait a few minutes.

If the software finds it difficult to close a program, a counter will appear red in the lower right corner that serves as the countdown after which SmartClose will not attempt to close the program.
