Once you close Windows Live Messenger running on Windows 7, the program does not end in the notification area next to the clock as they did in previous versions of the operating system. But just a simple trick to solve the problem.
The pride of Windows 7 has attracted praise and compliments from a lot of users, trying to preview the new Windows system, were pleasantly surprised of the new taskbar.
At the moment, however, it seems that some software will not support the full outstanding. An example is Windows Live Messenger. This program, once closed, should be minimized in the system tray (next to the clock).
The application works well on all Windows systems except for Windows 7, however, with which the icon is not shown in the system tray and close the window in the taskbar results in the complete closure of the program.
Undoubtedly a great inconvenience to always have such an application in the taskbar. Acting in the ownership of the software you can change its behavior to conform to what happened in previous operating systems.
How do
Let us go into the installation folder of Windows Live Messenger (usually C: Program Files Windows Live Messenger ) and identify the file msnmsgr.exe .
Effettuiamovi a right click on it and select the voice Properties .
From above, we move Compatibility tab .
Tick the field Run this program in compatibility mode for from the pulldown menu below and select the voice Windows Vista and save the settings with the OK button .
That's it, now the problem is solved.
